In Touch Weekly ran a story in which Irma Nici said the former England football captain had paid her for sex in September 2007.

Beckham plans to use the British courts to pursue a claim against the magazine. US courts are thought less likely to award damages.

“He wants everyone held accountable,” a source told The Sun.

“The magazine, the publishers and the hooker.”

Standing by her husband is Victoria Beckham, whose friend told The Mirror:

“She says she is behind David 100% – and is refusing to let these totally unfounded claims interfere with their lives.”

The Beckham’s were the subject of innuendo on another front this week when reports surfaced that David was a regular visitor to a Thai massage parlour in Los Angeles. It later turned out that both David and Victoria used the facility as a couple.
