Spoken word night A Lovely Word is relocating outdoors for a one off special event at the wooden henge in Princes Park Thursday 6 August, 7.30pm. Supported by Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, the monthly spoken word night A Lovely Word has teamed up with the Unusual Art Sourcing Company to bring their usual poetry open mic to an unusual setting. Featured poets alongside open mic-ers will perform live in Princes Park with audiences invited to watch out in the open air or via a live stream on Youtube. The open-air event is free to attend and seating is 'bring your own blankets' with seating plots for social distancing. Poets and performers are invited to sign up to perform at the open mic by emailing alovelywordpodcast@gmail.com (submissions open 27-31 July), with a confirmation of your full name, mobile number and if you wish to do a physical performance or online (there a 10 physical slots, and 3 online).
