In December 2009, Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia. A protracted appeals process lasting six years led to the Supreme Court of Cassation in Rome, which exonerated the pair of the crime. This documentary ventures behind the salacious tabloid headlines to look afresh at the case and its chief protagonist, charting events leading up to the arrest and the subsequent media furore in Knox’s own words.
