Polish carpenter and handyman Boris renovated the home he shares with his wife Marie and their twin daughters. The relationship breaks down after 15 years, but Boris doesn’t have sufficient funds to rent a flat or move out, and he can’t agree a financial settlement with Marie. So he is forced to retire to the sofa in the living room and abide by Marie’s long list of rules while the couple conceals the pain of the break up from the children.
