To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the Ballet Hispanico School of Dance showcases a double-bill of electrifying contemporary Latino dance performances. The programme begins with Carmen.maquia, Spanish choreographer Gustavo Ramirez Sansano’s fiery and sensual reworking of Bizet’s iconic opera. In the second piece, Club Havana, the intoxicating rhythms of the cha cha, conga, mambo and rumba combine as choreographer Pedro Ruiz evokes the energy of a sizzling Cuban nightclub.
