Pampered pussycat Marnie is treated like a member of the family by her smitten owner Rosalind. Unfortunately, Rosalind’s scheming brother Paul is determined to rid the house of the lazy feline so he promises Marnie the adventure of a lifetime if she hops into a cardboard box. The cat obliges and to her horror, Marnie is abandoned at a petrol station, where she becomes the inexperienced leader of a gang of misfits comprising cowardly dog Elvis, insecure rooster Eggbert and striped donkey Anton.
