A HIT STAGE SHOW adaptation of the long running northern soap Coronation Street is heading for London's West End stage.
Corrie! has been a huge success at the Lowry Theatre in Salford - the real life home to the show's fictional Weatherfield setting. The play is narrated by one of the soap's former cast, Charles Lawson (Jim Mcdonald) and condenses all 3,400 episodes into two hours.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "We knew it was a great play but we've been bowled over by how well it's gone down. We're in talks with London theatres and we hope to have something tied up soon. Hopefully it will rank as one of the West End's top theatrical nights out."
