Suggs and co. will be joined by other musicians on the main stage and there will be a fashion show, a big wheel and loads of street performers; all part of an event that this year has been tagged with a birthday theme.

The festival itself is celebrating its tenth anniversary and other birthdays to be commemorated include: Madness’ 30th year in the music business; Regent Street’s 180th year as a shopping Mecca and the first birthday of Absolute Radio, formerly Virgin Radio, one of the event’s main sponsors.

You don’t have to despair if you turn up late and can’t get near the main stage as there will be big screens on which to watch the proceedings and plenty of speakers pumping out tunes provided by Absolute, who will have their big name DJs like Christian O’Connell and Geoff Lloyd on duty.
