Until The Light Takes Us

Documentary about the worrying trends in Norwegian black metal music, from colourful onstage tomfoolery to offstage violence and bloodshed. The film interviews two key proponents, Gylve Nagell from the band Darkthrone and Varg Vikernes, the latter man serving 21 years in a Trondheim prison for murder and arson. Through the men’s word and music, the film explores the media’s fascination with black metal and whether the musicians play up to their public images.
