Docu-drama about Joe Simpson and his mountaineering partner Simon Yates, who, in 1985, embarked on an ill fated expedition to scale the hitherto unclimbed west face of Siula Grande in the Andes. The two-man team successfully reached the peak, but during the descent, Joe fell and broke his leg, leaving him stranded on the mountainside during a snow storm.
