Charlie Countryman glimpses the spirit of his late mother, who advises him to embark on an adventure to Romania. Accepting these words of wisdom, Charlie boards a flight to Bucharest and befriends an elderly passenger called Victor, who is heading home with a gift for his daughter. Victor dies next to Charlie and the American sees his new friend’s spirit, who asks Charlie to deliver the gift intended for his child.
