The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (12A)

Plucky tomboy Makoto prefers to hang out with her pals Chiaki and Kousuke than associate with the simpering girls at her high school. She’s incredibly intelligent, when she chooses to apply herself, but sometimes falls victim to poor organisation. By chance, Makoto discovers the ability to quite literally leap back and forth in time, allowing her to manipulate the past in order to produce an altered present. At first, Makoto uses the power for her own gain, such as winning a competition or re-sitting a failed test. But once the youngster appreciates that her actions have serious consequences for her relationship with Chiaki and Kousuke, she resolves to curb her time-travelling.
