A documentary charting the history of South African barefoot runner Zola Budd and American track-and-field prodigy Mary Decker, whose fates collided at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, resulting in one of the most memorable moments in sporting history. The film chronicles the personal histories of the two women, from rural South Africa under apartheid and the rolling hills of Southern California, to the starting line of the hugely competitive women’s 3000 metres.
