Secret Superstar (12A)

Insia is a 14-year-old Muslim girl, who yearns to be a singer but cannot express her musical talents for fear of offending her strict, conservative father. So she turns to the internet and posts clips of her singing on a video sharing website, concealing her true identity behind a burka. Ageing rock star Shakti Kumar is dazzled by the raw talent of the singer he finds online and pledges to help Insia realise her dreams. He is keen to mentor her and help her emerge from the shadows.
