School Of Babel (PG)

Filmed over the course of one year at the Granges-aux-Belles secondary school in Paris, this documentary explores the thorny issue of immigration through the eyes of a class of children, who speak little or no French. Teacher Brigitte Cervoni begins this tricky task by asking the children to share the word for hello in their own language and over the course of the school year, she encourages her charges to retain their identity while attempting to integrate with their new surroundings.
