Royal Opera Live Encore Screening: Norma

Sonya Yoncheva, Joseph Calleja and Sonia Ganassi headline the stellar cast of Alex Olle’s staging of Bellini’s operatic masterpiece, recorded live at the Royal Opera House in London. Priestess Norma is being suppressed along with her people, who look to her to spark a rebellion against rival forces led by Pollione. However, Norma and Pollione are lovers and she has borne two children by him. The bond is severed forever when Norma learns that he has fallen madly in love with priestess Adalgisa.
