A 30th anniversary re-issue of Stephen Frears’ celebrated 1987 biopic of Joe Orton, based on a screenplay by Alan Bennett, centring on the tempestuous relationship between the hugely talented gay playwright and his lover, Kenneth Halliwell, which flies in the face of homosexuality laws of the time.
