British-Kashmiri teenager Noor is determined to trace her roots during a visit to her grandparents. She wants to know the reasons for her father's mysterious disappearance, regardless of the horrors she might unearth. Local boy Majid, whose father is also absent, agrees to accompany Noor on this quest in the hope of fanning flames of romance.
