NG83: When We Were B-Boys

A nostalgic documentary, which shines a light on a forgotten chapter in British youth culture. Five former breakdancers, who felt trapped on their inner city Nottingham council estates, reflect on the UK hip hop scene of the early 1980s, which was an intrinsic part of their rites of passage. Unseen archive footage reveals the energy and camaraderie of the B Boys, whose adolescent dreams couldn’t last forever.
