An accident on the road forces 11-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his older sister Nannerl and parents Leopold and Anna to seek shelter at the Abbey of Fontevrand. In these exalted surroundings, Nannerl forges a friendship with the young princess Louise Marie and dazzles her brother, Louis, the Dauphin of France, with her abilities on the harpsichord. Romance flourishes between the Dauphin and Nannerl but his affections are fickle.
