Memories Of Matsuko (15)

Twenty-something Sho is devastated by the break-up with his girlfriend and he seeks oblivion in booze, to the dismay of his estranged father. Hoping to give his son some purpose in life, the old man gives Sho the ashes of his murdered aunt Matsuko, who he never knew. Sho becomes fascinated by this enigma from his family’s past and he begins to interview friends and acquaintances, building up a vivid picture of a school teacher and jailbird, who ended her days on the streets as a bag lady.
