Filmmaker Eric Baudelaire posted a letter to Maxim Gvinjia, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs for the disputed territory of Abkhazia, and expected his correspondence to be returned as ‘destination unknown’. Instead, he received a telephone call from Gvinjia which sparked a lively conversation about the contested state and its curious relationship with the international community. This documentary chronicles that communication, posing provocative and timely questions about national identity.
