Kiss Me Deadly (12A)

Re-release of Robert Aldrich’s 1955 film noir, based on the novel by Mickey Spillane. Mike Hammer is a sleazy detective who works low paid cases, often trying to ensure a divorce goes through for his clients by using his secretary Velda as a honey-trap. During the drive home one night, Mike picks up pretty hitchhiker Christina Bailey, who tells him that she has a terrible secret. Before Christina is able to spill the beans, she is killed and Hammer vows to solve the case, if only to land himself a big, fat pay cheque.
