Melanie is going through the motions in her new home in Britain, staring aimlessly out at the crashing waves in the aftermath of a relationship break-up. By chance she meets an enigmatic stranger called Ray, a hit man who has returned to his hometown for one final job. Haunted by the reincarnation of his dead brother, Ray unexpectedly finds companionship with Melanie and he wonders if she might be able to save him from self-destruction.
