The Brooklyn neighbourhood of Bushwick is invaded without warning by a mysterious military force. The streets are littered with lifeless bodies and survivors take cover. Civil engineering student Lucy needs to travel five blocks but the route is blocked by battalions of soldiers. She happens upon former Marine Stupe, who lives in a basement shelter. Lucy persuades Stupe to help her navigate the streets to her grandmother’s apartment.
