As a toddler, Paul witnessed the deaths of his parents in mysterious circumstances and he has been mute ever since. Now 33, Paul is a piano prodigy, who lives with his two overbearing aunts, who don’t let their nephew out of their sight. During a party thrown by his controlling relatives, Paul escapes to the apartment of downstairs neighbour Madame Proust. She serves up a heady herbal tea that allows Paul to unlock his fractured memories.
