This Sunday (21 June 2009) the Empire in London’s Leicester Square was host to the launch VIP Gala screening of the highly anticipated Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Presented by Alex Zane and attended by an array of celebs and their kids, including Ashley Walters, Gail Porter, Claudia Winkleman, Todd Carty and Nicky Chapman to name but a few.

With fun in the foyer, such as face painting, juggling, magic and general Ice Age craziness, the film went down a treat with parents and kids alike, thanks to the big screen coming to life in jaw dropping 3D wonder!
Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs has everything audiences loved about the first two films, adding even more comedy, action, spectacular visuals – plus the movie magic of 3-D. Our favourite heroes live on, with some memorable new characters thrown into the “Ice Age” mix.
Manny (Ray Romano), and Ellie (Queen Latifah) are expecting their first baby. Manny wants everything to be perfect and frets about baby-proofing nature itself, going as far as removing the innumerable stones, twigs and other potential “hazards” around him!
Sid (John Leguizamo) is jealous of Manny and Ellie’s parenthood. Determined to have a family of his own, he steals three giant eggs from an underground cavern. Unfortunately for him, the babies’ real mum – a giant T-Rex – isn’t too happy! Complications ensue – as they always do around Sid – leading everyone into an adventure in an incredible underground world.
In a bid to save Sid, the herd dodge danger and dinos -meeting up with a relentless, one-eyed swashbuckling weasel named Buck (Simon Pegg) along the way. Buck’s adventurous spirit and daredevil antics are e embraced by sibling possums Crash (Sean William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), both of whom we met in Ice Age: The Meltdown.
Meanwhile, Diego (Denis Leary), the saber-toothed tiger is tired of being treated like a friendly Housecat, and Scrat, the haapless squirrel of misadventure, is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut; while at the same time possibly finding true love in the divine shape of Scratte, a femmale daredevil weasel!
