There is also to be new lead up to the May 2012 event, with Camden Crawl branded club nights held at The Star of Kings every couple of weeks.

Serving up a mix of live music, comedy and theatre, the Crawl aims to showcase some of London’s best emerging acts alongside many old favourites.

Recent years have seen Madness, Plan B, Pendulum and the late Amy Winehouse, among many others, take to the Crawl’s stages.

The Crawl has grown substantially since its birth, in either 1995 or 2005, depending on how you define it.

What was once a five pub event needed 50 venues last year. The extension from two to three days is another step, if that can be done when crawling, along the road to expansion.

The Camden Crawl takes place from 4 to 6 May at various venues in and around Camden. In the past, venues have included the likes of the Barfly, the Dublin Castle and the Hawley Arms (pictured).
