Lenya is a teenage girl of mixed heritage living in 1944 Berlin, who is painfully aware that the colour of her skin will always draw the unwanted attention of German soldiers. Despite Lenya’s best efforts to maintain a low profile, the teenager catches the eye of Lutz, son of a high-ranking SS officer, who is a vital cog in the Nazi machine. Unexpectedly, the teenagers fall in love and begin a passionate affair, which results in Lenya falling pregnant. She must keep the baby a secret.
