Afrooz proudly leads Iran's national Futsal squad, who are poised to compete against other teams at the Asia Cup finals in Malaysia. As she goes through security at Tehran airport, Afrooz is detained while the rest of the team boards the flight. It transpires that her embittered husband Yaser, a famous TV host, has denied her the right to leave. In Iran, women must gain the permission of their husbands to travel so Afrooz is trapped in her homeland.
