Teenager Jesse graduates from high school in Oxnard, California. He celebrates at a party with his father, sister and best friends Hector and Marisol. Soon after, downstairs neighbour Anna is murdered in her apartment by Jesse’s valedictorian classmate, Oscar. The teenagers break into the flat looking for clues and discover ephemera usually associated with black magic rituals. Jesse also uncovers photographs that intimate he is destined to fulfil a shocking destiny.
