Gu Jia and Lin Ran were inseparable as children. While Gu Jia pursues her calling as a fashion editor in China, Lin Ran moves to London to pursue his career in journalism. Out of the blue, Lin Ran telephones his best friend to let her know that he has decided to get married to a wealthy Chinese girl called Meng Yi-Xuan. Gu Jia realises that she loves Lin Ran and doesn't want to lose him to another woman. So she gets on a flight to the UK, determined to usurp Meng Yi-Xuan at the altar.
