L'Age D'Or (15)

The National Film Theatre in London hosts a rare double bill of Luis Bunuel's first two directorial features. L'Age D'Or is a Surrealist piece about a man who brutally assaults a woman. Despite the attack, she continues to yearn for him and the two pursue each other through a series of disturbing scenes including a group of bishops decaying to their skeletal forms and a young child being shot for stealing.
