Re-release of Joseph H Lewis’s 1947 thriller about a hapless man seduced into a life of crime by a woman with murder under her gun-belt. Fascinated with firearms since he was a youngster, Bart Tare emerges from a stint in the military with an unnatural attraction to weapons. Yet he cannot ever contemplate turning a gun on another living creature. Bart meets his match in feisty sideshow shooter Annie Laurie Starr, who shares his love of pistols and has dark thoughts bubbling beneath that beautiful facade.
