Broadcast live from the stage of the historic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, The Flames Of Paris is a romantic ballet in two acts with new choreography by Alexei Ratmansky, based on an original libretto by Nikolai Volkov and Vladimir Dmitriev. Set to an original score by Boris Asafiev, the story centres on peasant boy Jerome, who yearns to join the ranks of the Marseillais. These defiant rebels stop at the nearby castle belonging to the Marquis Costa de Beauregard.
