Free-spirited thirty-something Anais lacks discernible direction in her life. She is giddily impulsive and ricochets between romantic dalliances, which does not bode well for her current partner Raoul. Anais embarks on a passionate affair with Daniel, a man old enough to be her father, but he refuses to give up his stable life with long-term partner Emilie. Rejection does not sit well with Anais and she fixates on Emilie, a successful writer, devouring all the older woman's work.
