A documentary about the class divide in the People's Republic of China and what it means to live the so-called "Chinese Dream". The three-part impressionistic portrait interrogates layers of capitalism in the country. Firstly, there are the workers tirelessly involved in factory production, then a middle class devoted to selling aspirational wares to consumers, and finally the obscenely wealthy and privileged perched on the uppermost rungs of China's social ladder.
