Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
We're back! Having thoroughly settled into our new shop and shaken off the chill of winter, we are bringing back our book club for younger readers, and hope you will join us in reading fantastic stories, both old and new! We will be reading books chosen from the 9-12 section in store but readers who are not that age are not barred from joining by any means! For this first meeting, we will be reading and discussing Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones - a fantasy classic written over 30 years ago! Sophie Hatter from the land of Ingary catches the unwelcome attention of the Witch of the Waste and is put under a spell . . . Deciding she has nothing more to lose, Sophie makes her way to the moving castleowned by thedreaded Wizard Howl.Howl, however, is said to have anappetite satisfied only by the souls of young girls...For this new and improved Young Readers Book Club, we wil be meeting on the first Sunday of each month in the Children's section from 3pm. We ask that parents and guardiansdo not leave the premises during the book club, though they are welcome to browse elsewhere in the shop. We hope to see you there!
