A revival of John Schlesinger’s acclaimed staging of Offenbach’s fantastical operatic drama, broadcast live from the Royal Opera House in London. Celebrated baritone Thomas Hampson plays the four villains, beginning with Councillor Lindorf, who is determined to outwit his great rival, the storyteller Hoffmann.
