Genre: DocumentaryDirector: Thomas Riedelsheimer
Running Time: 90mins
Country: Scot/Ger
Year: 2000
Documentary about the artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates striking imagery using materials readily available in nature, such as stones, twigs, leaves and icicles. Director Riedelsheimer follows his subject from his home in Penpont, Scotland, to an old stone wall in Canada which he hopes to rebuild, via a museum in the South of France. We watch Goldsworthy piling stones and other matter together, examining the physical limitations of each material.
