Sombra serves time behind bars for dealing drugs. At the end of his sentence, he returns to the Creole slums of Lisbon, hoping forlornly to start anew. Unfortunately, Sombra still owes a small fortune to local gang boss Olos and the kingpin wants repayment as soon as possible. Accompanied by his only friend in the world – his pet iguana – Sombra wanders the streets, hurriedly collecting arrears from friends and contacts so he can settle his debts and evade a beating.
