Orphaned boy Mowgli is raised by wolves Akela and Nisha in the jungles of India. The boy learns the harsh rules of his new habitat from an early age and is accepted by the other animals except for ferocious Bengal tiger Shere Khan. The big cat intends to sink his claws into Mowgli at the earliest opportunity. The boy comes of age in the company of brown bear Baloo and panther Bagheera but there are dangers throughout the jungle, not least the seductive rock python Kaa.
