Emily Burns directs Richard Bean and Oliver Chris's rollicking comedy based on Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The Rivals, which was recorded live on the stage of the National Theatre in London. In July 1940, dashing pilot officer Jack Absolute survives an aerial dog fight and flies home to Britain and the woman he loves: old flame Lydia Languish.
