In November 1990, the sleepy coastal town of Aramoana in New Zealand became front-page news when one of its reclusive residents, a loner called David Gray, suddenly snapped and went on a killing spree, shooting dead 13 of his neighbours before the police took him down. This dramatisation charts events leading up the murders and the subsequent response by the police, led by Nick Harvey and his partner Paul Knox, who put their lives on the line to protect men, women and children from Gray and disable the shooter.
