Canary Wharf Ice RinkCanary Wharf Ice Rink:
Nestled under the soaring buildings of Canada Square and bathed in twinkling festive lights, the Ice Rink Canary Wharf is back, bigger and better for the 2013/14 season. Opening on the 26th October 2013 the rink will run for 16 weeks until the 16th February 2014.

Last year, Ice Rink Canary Wharf wowed Londoners and visitors with the city's first skate path. Back by popular demand, and even bigger than last year, this exciting track will weave under trees lit with fairy lights adding an extra element of fun and romance to your skating experience.

Easily accessible by the jubilee line and dlr, the rink is in the heart of Canary Wharf surrounded by an extensive offering of shops, bars and restaurants. For those wishing to watch friends and family enjoying themselves, the Boisdale bar and spectator's area is back, adjacent to the rink it offers a range of drinks, food and entertainment.

One of the first outdoor ice rinks to open in time for the autumn school holidays, we are fully equipped to cater for children of four years and over with the popular polar bear skate aids and skate lessons. Efficient and helpful staff are on site to help at all times, ensuring your visit is safe and enjoyable. Whether you're coming with children or friends, as a solo skater or with an office party, Ice Rink Canary Wharf looks forward to welcoming you this autumn/winter period.

Do I have to purchase/order tickets before hand?
Or can I just show up and buy tickets there and then?

I go every year and LOVE it. I'm on my way there now and then on to Wagamama for a nice meal and drinks after... woo hoo. It's great.

DO GO THERE!

im responding to the message above, if you've had one bad experiance don't go telling other people not to go there, as you've read there are MANY more good comments then there are bad, so don't go spoiling what could have been an enjoyable experiance for other people.

thanks
P.S i think you're a retard

I would like to comment on the remark above. If a person falls over, due to the injury it is not possible to move that person until a paramedic or amulance person arrives. The rink prides itself on being professional. People do fall and hurt themselves. To say dont go there is a big mistake. Loads of people enjoy themselves ice skating.

Glad you enjoyed your skate, however it's not nice to call someone a liar, whether they are or not, am sure you have a better command of the English language.

This is the first we've heard of trouble down at Canary Wharf. Did you contact a manager to discuss your experience? I'm sure they'd appreciate your feedback/info, and you might even get a refund/fresh tickets.

On Thursday 11/12/08 friends of mine and I waited more than one hour to skate at the Canary Wharf ice rink and finally couldn’t either skate or get a refund. A poor person badly fell more than one hour earlier that evening and they just let her lying on the ice for ages. No customer service at all, total lack of professionalism and lack of safety as obviously, if you fall while you’re skating, you can lay there forever. DON’T GO THERE!!!

We went before and it was fine. We went with our primary school. Its an accident, sorry for the people, but its not the people in charge's fault.
So yeah its a good place.
