Prince Harry is “likely” to serve in Afghanistan this year.

Harry is set to complete his training as an Apache helicopter pilot in the next few days and will be eligible for front line service three months later, with a posting to Afghanistan likely.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Harry will be assigned to one of the Army Air Corps’ six Apache squadrons at RAF Wattisham in Suffolk,
“He is likely to be heading to Afghanistan before the end of the year.’
A spokesperson for the prince said: “It will be down to the MoD and people in charge of Prince Harry’s squadron, but it is his wish to return to the front line.”
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old prince recently had to enrol for refresher lessons during a trip to the ski slopes with fellow royals Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in the French resort of Verbier.
Another source added: “Harry was only too aware he would be ribbed mercilessly if he wasn’t up to scratch so he booked a couple of lessons.
“But bad weather conditions and an almighty hangover meant he had to cancel the first one that was booked for New Year’s Day. However, he managed to find his snow legs in the end.”
