Available on DVD on 26th December 2011

Prepare to be captivated by the heart-warming story of one boy’s discovery this Christmas season as Just Henry comes to DVD on 26th December 2011, courtesy of ITV STUDIOS Home Entertainment.

Adapted from the novel by Michelle Magorian, and starring Sheila Hancock (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas) and Elaine Cassidy (Harper’s Island), this story about Henry’s discovery and how it changes the lives of his family and friends is sure to be a big hit, and provides perfect family fayre this festive season.

Set in post-World War II Britain, Henry (Josh Bolt – Nowhere Boy, The Be All and End All) is a troubled young man haunted by nightmares that everyone believes are from the war, his father’s death, and mother’s remarriage. After his father’s war medal gets posted through the door, he begins to search for the truth about his father, Joseph Dodge (Stephen Campbell Moore – The Bank Job, Season of the Witch).

As Henry begins his final year of school, his teacher Mrs Beaumont (Barbara Flynn – Miss Potter, Cracker) encourages him to befriend two students, Paul (Perry Millward – Christopher and his Kind) and Grace (Charlie May-Clark – South Riding) who are struggling with their own difficulties. Matters only get more complicated when Henry is visiting his father’s grave and none other than Dodge himself shows up. Since Henry is too thrilled to question the facts surround his father’s supposed death, Grace enlists the help of Mrs Beaumont to uncover the truth.
