Stars Robert Pattinson (People magazine's 2nd sexiest man 2008!) and Kirsten Stewart were on the red carpet last night (03.12.08), alongside director Catherine Hardwicke and many special guests.
Fans started turning up at 3am despite freezing temperatures, and E-One Films were handing out on the spot prizes for the best dressed vampires and vampirettes.
The film releases nationwide on December 19th.

TWILIGHT's US opening weekend delivered more of a license to thrill than the new Bond Movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE (USD67.5m) and had more fan appeal than HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 (USD42m).
No wonder he was voted People magazine's 2nd sexiest man 2008!!!
