The Metropolitan Opera Live Encore Screening: The Exterminating Angel

Tom Cairns directs the American premiere of Thomas Ades’s surreal and fantastical opera, inspired by the Luis Bunuel film of the same title, which was recorded live on the stage of the Lincoln Centre For The Performing Arts in New York under the baton of conductor of composer Ades. Edmundo de Nobile and his wife Lucia await the arrival of guests for a dinner party at their luxurious mansion on the Calle de la Providencia. Staff begin to run away but butler Julio remains to fulfil his duties.
