Hundreds of thousands of St Patrick’s Day revellers are this Sunday to be chased through the streets of central London by a giant dragon.

Called Puca, the hot-air-filled beast measures some 36 metres in length, is eight metres tall and is just one of the whacky sights on offer at London’s St Patrick’s Day parade, which sets off from the Green Park side of Piccadilly at 12 noon towards its final destination of Trafalgar Square.
Along the way, expect to see countless floats, Irish marching bands and dancing schools. At the square itself, Irish-themed food awaits, along with more singing and dancing, Gaelic football and a 22-seat mobile cinema featuring Irish short films.
Alternatively, hundreds of pubs across London will be going St Patrick’s Day crazy this weekend as they raise a toast to the man who helped bring Christianity to Ireland.
